Welcome to the Dining Inn

The George/Davis House is listed as one of Juneau, Alaska’s historic sites and structures and was originally built on 5th Street in 1904 for Juneau’s then Chief Draftsman for the Surveyor General Office (Martin George). George was the father of Wallis George, one of the builders of the famous Baranof Hotel. The house was bought by the Davis family in 1927 and when condemned to make way for the Capital School in 1928, was pulled and pushed with man and horse power, up the hill and around the corner to its’ current location on Seward Street. Throughout the renovation and remodel process we have done everything possible to maintain the original ambience and structure of this impressive home.
